Eric Law

Eric was born in Cherbourg in 1950. He completed his schooling in 1967 and thereafter joined the army. He fought in the Vietnam was rising to the rank of sergeant. On his return he played representative rugby league in the Wide Bay area. Eric had a long career in education and local government, being the first local to become the Mayor of the Cherbourg Local Council in 1984. He is currently on the Committee of the Ration Shed Museum and the local representative of the RSL movement in Cherbourg.

The Cherbourg Memory is an initiative of the Rationshed Museum and brings together the photos, videos, oral history recordings, documents and other artifacts of our lives on this settlement.
