Building stockyards at Barambah Aboriginal Settlement 1908
Barambah residents, known as inmates by the Government, are put to work developing its facilities.
They clear land for farming, raise pigs, cattle and goats, and plant vegetable gardens. They cut timber, dig two saw-pits and erect the first buildings. In 1909, a bridge and the road to Murgon are built. Barambah begins to take shape.
